No doubt that herbs and spices are common staples in all homes’ kitchens. Flare and flavor are given to each dish that they are added to. They maintain the healthy body along with. Researches are doing experiments on them to prove their therapeutic effect.

There are many unimaginable benefits of using herbs and spices daily. As an example, cinnamon is known for its anti-inflammatory characteristics, added to other ones. It is used in medicine widely. It can assist in reducing cholesterol and reducing blood pressure as well. Healthy tea can be made of it. You can add few drops of lemon and honey to it.

More addition of Flavor and Health
Rosemary is also know to have anti-inflammatory benefits as well as high levels of antioxidants, and may help improve memory. Rosemary is often used in lamb dishes as well as in stews and is a tasty addition to eggs. Its flavor has been likened to that of lemon.

A common and well loved ingredient in our list of herbs and spices is garlic. It is believed to have anti-microbial properties and helps build immunity against a number of cancers. Garlic helps to prevent cardiovascular disease and lower blood pressure. Garlic is used in a wide range of dishes including sauces, soups and stews, along with marinades and salad dressings.

Fennel is known for its antioxidant powers as well and is believed to have anti-inflammatory properties. Fennel seeds are used in Italian sausages and as a rub on chicken and pork. We might not think of fennel as being in the herb and spice family since the stalk is eaten as a vegetable, either roasted or raw and makes a great side dish with meat. Fennel has a flavor somewhat like anise.

Medically, peppermint is known with its content of antioxidants, antimicrobial, and anti-viral as well. It treats the troubles of stomach and removes pain. It can be used with some fruits, such as strawberries. It can be added to salads as well.

In conclusion, there are some difference between herbs and spices. It may due to their enhancing of the food’s flavor. But in fact, they are used medically at a wider range along with.
